An absolutely spectacular day!

We enjoyed the best visibility of the summer today. The presidential mountain range and Mount Washington were clearly visible. I heard on the news that the visibility from Mt Washington was one hundred two miles.

We could clearly see all the islands, Portland, freighters and many sailboats. We were very busy with visitors and the boats were waiting in line for a mooring in the cove.

I stayed around the lighthouse all day and helped out with tours while Brenda worked in the shop and museum. While here I decided to weed whack and trim around everything then I cut a new area on the west side. This is a prime location for a future bench and picnic table. One of our visitors presented us with a bottle of wine and a local newspaper. Nice!

Once again we met many interesting folks and talked about everything from weather to wine. It was really great outside with temperature in the seventies and humidity around fifty percent. Although we were working hard physically we did not sweat. What a difference from the eastern shore of Maryland.
