Tuesday, July 7

Another cloudy day. No sun, not much outside activity.

I put the finishing touches on the new world map in the museum. Brenda and I then had a geography lesson when we transferred the pins to the new map. Up until now visitors from other countries just put a pin next to the name of their country. With the new map we transferred all those pins from the list to the specific country. Looks good and we refreshed our geographical knowledge.

I went to the shop to continue my organizational chores. I also cut a piece of plywood to mount another chart on. Since it was miserable outside we settled down and watched another movie. “21” was our movie of choice today. This is the one about the students that go to LasVegas and beat the system.

I spent the next few hours downloading and installing new drivers for my laptop. It really is nice to have WWAN capability. Most of the time we get good connectivity and can do what we want.

Forecast for tomorrow is much the same as today. But after that things look warmer and brighter. Because of the forecast for tomorrow I called Ethan to change our day ashore to Thursday. He was OK with that.

The pictures above tell the story of the twenty year old mom that got injured in 1949 when the tram car broke loose and jumped the track. There is also a picture of the 1852 lighthouse keeper regulations. Not a whole lot has changed!
