A beautiful day!

Sun, warm, gentle breeze…..great!

We went to the shop first thing and placed the furniture that Brenda has been working on, outside. The day was perfect for applying the final coats of varnish. Brenda worked on this for a couple of hours.

Meanwhile I went down the hill to cut the Cobblestone trail. I used the lawn mower this time and got it done in record time. The cove was getting busy. I watched as a number of boats tied up and made it ashore in their dinghies. Altogether we had about thirty visitors today. Locals from Maine, sailors from Massachusetts and one couple from Maryland (Rockhall) in a 36’ Cape Dory.

Two dogs accompanied the visitors. A black lab named Dixie and a sheltie named Prince. Both very well behaved. I gave tours of the lighthouse and Brenda stayed in the store. We had visitors from noon until 1800. Two of the sailboats are spending the night in the cove and one couple returned to watch the sunset.

Later on we brought the furniture pieces back inside and settled down for dinner.
