Tuesday, June 2

The day dawned bright and clear and stayed that way. Light winds out of the south and sixty degrees. You know what that means…. More mowing and trimming. Actually Brenda worked in the store, taking inventory and contacting Connie at FOSI for our restocking tomorrow. I went to the cove, cut all the old lines off the ways and continued the clean up.

It was peaceful down there. Listening to the bass beat of the diesel engines on the lobster boats, watching the osprey and the clouds creating art in the sky. It doesn’t get much better than this.

The respite didn’t last long as I headed up the trail, met Brenda and weed whacked the south trail. This took the rest of the day. Brenda carried the gear, string, gas, water while I ran the Stihl string trimmer. The trail is looking good!

Tomorrow is our day ashore and we have to get things ready for that. Just heard the weather report for the next few days and it looks beautiful.

Have not heard anything from the USCG about the light. If it isn’t fixed soon we may have to change the statement that it is the “only continuously operating first order lens north of Virginia”….I haven’t seen it on yet!
